The Tumalo is our latest dirt tourer, combining all the best attributes our mountain touring and gravel bikes offer. Not to be confused with a drop bar mountain bike or monster cross gravel bike, the Tumalo is carefully designed as a lightweight, off-road bikepacking and touring machine. With features like long chain-stays and extended frame reach, this bike has increased traction, load stability, and handling.

For decades, Co-Motion has built bikes designed to travel. From paved tours to backcountry bikepacking, our customers have continually pushed the limits of where a touring bicycle can go.
The Tumalo was created to meet the growing demand for a hand-built steel bike that could:

The Tumalo is perfect for riders who want a bike that will remain capable, relevant, and serviceable for decades.
Every Tumalo frame is hand-built from methodically selected Columbus steel tubing in Eugene, Oregon, and can be customized to each rider and intended use. The Tumalo is built as a platform that can be optimized for different riding styles.
Each journey is unique. No two Tumalos need to be identical.

Each Tumalo option and drivetrain system was carefully selected for performance and fully-loaded expedition touring.

Every Tumalo begins with a conversation. Start planning your custom build and create a bike designed specifically for your adventures.
